A picture is definitely worth a thousand words, and even a few media placements. No matter what industry you are in, you should definitely send high quality, high resolution photographs. Head shots, band shots, product shots, etc. are all great types of photos to use when pitching a potential story to a writer. And, even if you don't already have a great photo, give that writer some ideas about quality photo opportunities, like performances, trade shows, client interaction, etc. Finally, for you event mavens out there, ALWAYS...ALWAYS...ALWAYS take pictures of EVERY event, just in case the writer wants pictures of previous year's events.
